D-Fuse diffuse coatings
In the last decades, the development of shading agents have greatly accelerated which lead to the cataloguecomintroduction of coatings. In coatings the characteristics are specifically targeted to fulfill the light requirements of the plant.

D-Fuse
In recent years there has been plenty of research into the effects of diffuse light at the crops. Previous research focused mainly at the various options regarding types of glass for a greenhouse. From 2012, D-Fuse will change this. With D-Fuse is it possible to diffuse the light in the greenhouse by applying a removable coating with which light penetrates deeper into the crop.

Theory

With D-Fuse, the light in the greenhouse is made diffuse. Diffused light penetrates deeper into the crop.
dfuse6Because with D-Fuse more light reaches the bottom of the crop. Parts of the plants that are normally covered in shade receive light with D-Fuse. This results in an active crop which is more balanced, has a better quality and a higher photosynthesis. Ultimately this will result in better quality and maximum growth.


D-Fuse is available in 2 varieties. D-Fuse Floriculture and D-Fuse Vegetable, because the needs of a floricultural crop differs from an vegetable. Both D-FUSE varieties you can use from 15 – 25 buckets per hectare. That’s why depending on your crop, one of the varieties is chosen. The durability of D-Fuse is approximately four months with minimum wear off at the apex of the roof.

Application
D-Fuse is a coating and not a shading agent like ReduSol and Q4 White. That’s why it is advised to apply D-Fuse mechanically and not by hand. Therefore the figure below shows the desired spray pattern. It is advised to dissolve D-Fuse in 1500 – 2000 liters of water per hectare.

Removal
For the removal of D-Fuse, Removit is developed. During the fall and the winter diffuse glass is often undesirable because of the loss of light. For this reason it is recommended that at the end of the season D-Fuse is removed with Removit.
The required dose of Removit is 250 liter per hectare. It is advised to dissolve Removit in 1500 – 2000 liters of water per hectare. For proper operation of Removit, everything has to be hit by spray.
